Stalling When Warm

hi people, my wonderful 1.9tdi mk1 galaxy keeps cutting out at junctions when i stop, ie foot on clutch, ecu reported speed sensor faulty had that changed, but still cutting out, any ideas ?

Could be idle control valve!, normally the cold start vale keeps car idling when cold and switches off when car is warm.

Diesels don't have idle control valves.

did they clear the fault code from the ecu after fitting the part

i'm guessing they did clear the code as the flashing glowplug light has now gone out ? , also forgot to mention that the second time this happend on restarting the fuel gauge was reading low. after stopping and starting again under normal conditions it returned to correct reading ! dunno if this means anything ?, thanks for the suggestions so far , keep em coming please :blink:

hI THERE, JUST BOUGHT A WONDERFUL FORD GALAXY HAD NO PROBLEM OTHER THAN THIS NEW PROBLEM WHERE WHEN I STOP AT JUNCTIONS ETC IT CUTS OUT AND THEN STARTS FIRST TIME, THEN SOMETIMES IT GOES LIKE A DREAM. HAD AA OUT AND THEY HAVE SAID IT COULD BE THE ECU DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH THESE ARE TO REPLACE.

JUST LIKE YOU I AM WORRIED ABOUT IT

Sounds like an air leak....although it could be electrical...relay 30 or even brake switch ?

 

Won't be the ECU
